The last days before the summer vacations were also Mrs. Theis' last days at Georgschule. She retired at the beginning of the vacations. Of course, after twenty years, this could not happen without a hitch.
On her special day, Mrs. Theis was driven to the school in a carriage, where all the pupils, the teaching staff, the ÜMI and OGS teams, old companions, friends and family were already waiting for her. She was accompanied by her husband.
The children were already waiting for her in the schoolyard and formed a guard of honor. They sang "Good luck and many blessings". While Mrs. Theis walked down the trellis, each child of the OGS presented her with a gerbera. In the end, there was quite a bouquet.
Ms Reckels, Ms Samolak and Mr Gesing (Evangelische Jugendhilfe Münsterland) each gave a short speech to say goodbye and thanked her for the journey they had taken together.
At the end, letters were handed over in which the OGS children had written down their good wishes for Ms Theis for the future.
We would like to thank her for the past twenty years and wish her all the best for her retirement.
