On Monday, 23.01.2023, the students of class 3b had a special kind of lesson. The class visited the EGW (Entsorgungsgesellschaft Westmünsterland) in Gescher.
After the welcome by the waste consultant Mrs. Anna Lange, they talked about waste separation, waste avoidance and recycling. The children sorted a lot of waste into the right containers and were already able to contribute a lot to the topic.
After breakfast, Class 3b toured the site and its halls.
Back from the tour, a workshop was held on making paper from old newsprint and colorful paper scraps. The children produced new colorful papers with great dedication. After drying, they will be recycled.
Finally, lunch boxes, rulers and crayons were handed out and then it was back to the Georg School.
It was a great outing!
