Unfortunately, this was already the last day of the project week.
Class 3a had planned the visit to the farm as a crowning finale and therefore set off for the Berges farm after school had started. After visiting the different stables (calving pen, calf pen and boxing pen), the children had the opportunity to have a straw fight. This was also used extensively.
The 3c, which had visited the Welle farm the day before, had a visitor on this day. Mrs. Benning from the Landfrauen came and told the children a lot about agriculture. In addition, cream was turned into butter. The children in Class 3b also worked hard to churn butter and then tasted the delicious homemade butter on wholemeal bread.
Class 2a discovered the delicious healthy snacks that vegetable and fruit farms supply us with and were able to help themselves to plenty at a snack buffet.
The theme of the farm was also explored artistically. Class 1b painted beautiful pig pictures with watercolor.
In addition, the classes took advantage of the last opportunity on this day to discover the farm mobile and spin the wheel of fortune to win one of the great prizes or learn interesting facts about dairy cows at the cow pinball machine.
Of course, there were also opportunities to take another look at the showcases and the model of the contracting company.
Once again, we would like to sincerely thank the farmers, sponsors, parents and everyone else whose support made the project week on this scale possible in the first place!
