Last Friday they all came out, the vampires, monsters and other scary creatures, because the lights went out and the fog machine came on at Georgschule.
The children in Year 4 had invited their parents to a Halloween party at the school. In the morning, the three classrooms of the fourth graders had been spookily decorated and the disco balls had been set up.
At 4.30 p.m. on the dot, the children and their parents turned up in incredibly cool costumes.
From the Addams family and Ghostbusters to werewolves and vampires, the most creative costumes were represented.
There was a spooky buffet that the parents had conjured up with great attention to detail. A photo station was set up in another classroom where you could have your picture taken in front of an eerily beautiful background.
Of course, there was also dancing at the Halloween party.
First, there was a surprise dance for the parents in the schoolyard. The choreography to Thriller was a real highlight of the evening. Afterwards, everyone danced in the disco room in the school.
The lovely spooky party ended at around 7.00 pm.
