The Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Georgschule Gronau-Epe was founded in 1994. The reason for the foundation were the numerous cuts in the financial means for the support of pupils at elementary schools. The support of the promotion of the pupils at the Georgschule is the task of our association. Parents' contributions, sponsors' money and funds from joint activities of teachers, parents and students (e.g. fundraising runs, waste paper collections, etc.) are used to purchase additional teaching materials, to improve the equipment of the premises, to promote children's competencies (coolness program, educational theater "My body belongs to me", etc.), to promote class trips and to support individual students for special reasons. The total amount of investment in the renovation of the schoolyard and school to date is well over 25,000, - €. In addition, special projects, such as the circus project, have been made possible in recent years.
The association invites to the general meetings in writing. We look forward to a lively participation in the meetings. In addition to the parents of our students, all other people are welcome to join our association and support the school.
