For many, it’s impossible to imagine the Georgschule without Ms. Düker. For 36 years, she helped young children grow here. In doing so, she taught them so much more than just reading and writing and was an integral part of their childhood.
But it wasn’t just the children who could always count on Ms. Düker. She also always had an open ear for her colleagues and was there to offer advice and support. She was always a reliable pillar of strength and a calming influence (“Just wait and see!”) and enriched the faculty with her warm personality and infectious laugh.
Now, however, it was time to say goodbye, and this was celebrated in style with the school community and dear guests. With her retirement, an impressive chapter at the Georgschule came to a close today. What remains are countless fond memories, gratitude, and the mark she has left on the hearts of so many people.
For this new chapter in her life, we wish Ms. Düker health, happiness, and many fulfilling moments from the bottom of our hearts, and we say once again: Thank you, Ms. Düker!
